About The Position

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Event server, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our Events experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.

Requirements

• At least 6 months serving experience required in the last 5 years
• Successful completion of Food and Beverage test required 80% or above
• Pro Serve certification required
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service at banquet functions, weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Prepare event spaces by setting tables, arranging chairs, placing linens, and ensuring all event details are executed according to event orders and Fairmont standards.
• Welcome guests and provide warm, professional, and personalized service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, coffee breaks, and beverage functions with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of event menus, beverage offerings, and service sequences to confidently answer guest questions.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively ensure an exceptional event experience.
• Collaborate with the Banquet, Culinary, and Conference Services teams to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
• Support the setup, execution, and teardown of event spaces while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor event timelines to ensure service is delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, resolving issues according to Fairmont service standards.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Uphold the Fairmont brand promise by delivering luxury service and creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.
• Foster an inclusive environment where every guest and colleague feels valued and respected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
