About The Position

Citadel Security USA is hiring Part-Time Unarmed Hospitality Event Security Officers to provide professional security services for special events, entertainment venues, hospitality locations, and community gatherings throughout Western Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to work at a variety of venues while traveling to locations including Grand Junction, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Aspen, Vail, Montrose, Ouray, and Telluride. Successful candidates enjoy interacting with the public, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting safe event operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to both local and out-of-town assignments.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
  • Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
  • Successfully pass all required background screening before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality, event security, customer service, or guest services.
  • Experience performing bag inspections, ID verification, or access control.
  • Familiarity with crowd management and conflict de-escalation techniques.
  • Comfortable working at concerts, festivals, sporting events, weddings, and other public gatherings.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a professional and approachable attitude.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
  • Answer general questions and assist visitors with directions when appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned event areas.
  • Conduct bag inspections following event and venue procedures.
  • Verify identification when required by event policies.
  • Assist with alcohol compliance and age-verification procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted-access locations.
  • Help manage crowd movement before, during, and after events.
  • Observe safety concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity.
  • Respond appropriately to disturbances or security-related situations.
  • Assist with de-escalating conflicts using professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, event management, medical personnel, or law enforcement when necessary.
  • Prepare accurate reports documenting incidents or unusual activity.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow security officers and event staff.
  • Follow event-specific post orders and operational instructions.
  • Adapt to different venues and changing event environments.
  • Travel to assigned locations throughout Western Colorado as scheduled.
