About The Position

The Florida Panthers are seeking personable, attentive individuals for part-time, event-based Event Security Guard positions at Amerant Bank Arena. These roles are vital to operations, requiring hardworking, customer-service oriented candidates. Event Security team members play a pivotal role in creating a safe environment for guests from entry to departure. Hours include approximately 15-25 hours per week, varying with the event schedule, primarily nights, weekends, and possibly holidays. Pay rates range from $18.50 – $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • State of Florida D Security License
  • Previous experience in security and customer service is a must.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available on weekend/overnights.
  • Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of access to restricted areas, exterior doors to the arena, and maintaining a secure environment for guests.
  • Controlling guest & vendor access to the Arena.
  • Checking credentials to control employee and visitor access to the arena during events.
  • Inspecting items that do not pass through magnetometers, possibly using a security wand to screen guests for prohibited items.
  • Monitor and respond to any security issues that may arise during an event.
  • Address security concerns and de-escalate conflicts professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance the experience at Amerant Bank Arena.
  • Escorting of guests when needed.
  • Follow safety and security policies, programs, and procedures with the ability to manage crisis situations.
  • Ability to handle radios, speaking openly and professionally demonstrating strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other employees.
  • Report any and all incidents to Supervisor or Management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
