About The Position

FTL War Memorial and the Florida Panthers are hiring personable, attentive individuals looking for a part-time, event-based role full of excitement. Our Event Security team members play a pivotal role in creating a safe environment for our guests from the moment they enter the venue until the moment they depart. This role does not require a Florida D Security License. Please note that D-Licensed positions are preferred and non D-Licensed positions are limited based on events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available for evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Must pass a background check

  • Previous experience in security, event staff, and/or customer service strongly preferred
  • Upbeat, team-first attitude with a genuine desire to help people

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access to restricted areas and exterior doors, maintaining a secure environment for all visitors
  • Control guest and vendor access to FTL War Memorial, both inside and outside the venue
  • Check credentials to manage employee and visitor access during events
  • Monitor and respond to security issues or potential risks that may arise during an event
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance the FTL War Memorial guest experience
  • Escort guests as needed throughout the venue
  • Follow all safety and security policies, programs, and procedures; manage crisis situations effectively
  • Handle radios professionally, communicating openly and clearly with other team members
  • Report all incidents to the Supervisor or Management
  • Other duties as assigned
