About The Position

They are seeking an Event Sales Representative to interact directly with homeowners at community events, festivals, and home shows. The primary goal is to generate leads and appointments for the sales team while representing the brand professionally. This is an entry-level, part-time position offering paid training to build skills in sales, negotiation, strategic planning, and closing techniques. It's an opportunity to engage creatively with customers for the 3rd largest home remodeling company. The company values customer-facing experience from any industry, including sales, hospitality, retail, food service, education, or service, emphasizing strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills. Direct event marketing experience is a plus but not required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; up to 8 hours during events.
  • Reliable transportation is essential to ensure timely and consistent attendance at various event locations.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of regular business operations.
  • Availability to work approximately 10-30 hours per week.
  • Availability for a minimum of two weekends per month (Friday through Sunday).
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience of sales, lead generation, or similar experience
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees of the organization in one-on-one, small, and large group settings.
  • Fluency in a second language.
  • Direct event marketing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastic communication with a customer audience to generate complimentary in-home appointments for homeowners to help generate revenue for the company.
  • Create on-site event buzz and promote brand knowledge by following prescribed Window Nation procedures and messaging.
  • Use qualifying sheets and scripts to resolve customer questions and concerns.
  • Adjust on-site event marketing and sales tactics according to current KPI targets and results as needed.
  • Daily set-up, maintenance, operation, and presentation of on-site event marketing programs to ensure maximum exposure of the Window Nation brand.
  • Travel to various event locations such as home shows, community festivals, craft shows, and other local events with high foot traffic.
  • Set up branded booths or displays, which may include signage, promotional materials, and product samples.
  • Actively approach attendees or shoppers, initiate conversations, and introduce the company’s products or services.
  • Gather customer information, answer questions, and qualify leads for follow-up by the sales team.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor and ensure the brand is positively represented.
  • Be at the event on time to set up the marketing collateral and stay through the event and breakdown the same marketing collateral.
  • Work a schedule consisting of weekdays and weekends.
