About The Position

The Event Sales Director at Blackstone Country Club and Black Bear Golf Club is responsible for the strategic oversight, selling, planning, and coordination of all aspects of event sales operations. This role involves leading the event sales team to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences while achieving annual event sales goals. The Director will develop and execute sales strategies, cultivate client relationships, and collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to create competitive event offerings. The position is accountable for the financial performance of the event sales department and ensuring alignment with the club’s business objectives and service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • College coursework in hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs to drive event revenues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales plans to maximize event sales revenue, in alignment with club goals and sales standards.
  • Lead the event sales team in achieving sales targets, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Cultivate relationships with key clients and prospects, leveraging networking opportunities to generate new business.
  • Oversee the client consultation process, providing expert advice and creating tailored event solutions.
  • Regularly obtain client feedback and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance to the event sales team, facilitating professional growth and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Ensure all event-related activities and expenses are accurately tracked and recorded.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager to design profitable and competitive event offerings.
  • Utilize sales management tools and software, such as Cater Pro and Power BI, to track sales performance and manage event data.
