About The Position

This is an opportunity to build and lead a field marketing program expected to represent $30M of the company's business within 2-3 years. The Event & Retail Field Marketing Manager will oversee and grow field marketing operations across Chicago, Madison, and St. Louis, leading a team of Brand Promoters and Field Leaders. This role requires a builder, coach, and results-driver with a sales mentality who thrives on hitting goals and elevating team performance. Requirements

  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and optimize 60+ events per year across multiple markets.
  • Several years of experience in event and field marketing with a track record of measurable results.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and regular in-field presence at events and retail partner locations.
  • 2-5 years of experience managing a field marketing team.
  • Sales mentality with the ability to drive appointment and lead generation goals at all levels.
  • Strong budget management skills; ability to monitor and control marketing spend to hit performance benchmarks.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess KPIs and make proactive, data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to self-manage time and resources across multiple markets and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research and secure 60+ events annually, including Home Shows, local community events, and Costco warehouse activations.
  • Complete event applications, track spending, and monitor marketing costs to meet benchmark goals.
  • Schedule, plan, and optimize all events, including set-up, staffing, and logistics, to maximize return on investment.
  • Manage all aspects of interviewing, onboarding, and performance management for the field marketing team across Chicago, Madison, and St. Louis.
  • Travel quarterly (at a minimum) between markets.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence at home shows, field marketing events, and Costco warehouse locations, providing hands-on leadership and coaching.
  • Drive appointment generation goals daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually using a metrics-driven, performance-focused approach.
  • Create and implement a strategic plan to exceed lead generation goals and increase sales conversion rates.
  • Monitor and track all marketing costs, optimizing scheduling, personnel, and event selection for the highest possible ROI.
  • Regularly assess KPIs and make data-driven decisions to improve team and program performance.
  • Provide detailed and accurate lead and appointment forecasts and reports.
  • Ensure Brand Promoters are consistently on-script, adhere to dress and demeanor standards, and possess strong product knowledge.
  • Review leads daily to ensure standards are met and lead reports are accurate.
  • Deliver in-field coaching and structured classroom training on methodology, objection handling, processes, and procedures.
  • Potentially travel to one or all company locations during training and onboarding.
