About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Events Manager to lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of successful events that drive brand awareness, prospect adoption, client loyalty, and promotes patient engagement. As a key member of our marketing and B2B team, this role will play a critical part in designing and managing virtual and in-person events such as webinars, company retreats, corporate healthcare seminars, and community-specific initiatives in markets where we operate. This role is also critical to the planning and execution of our largest annual client event. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of creativity, operational excellence, and analytical thinking to ensure events are both impactful and aligned with Marathon Health’s mission. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or event management, and a minimum of 6+ years of relevant marketing and event management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior directly related experience in the healthcare sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with event management software, project management tools (Asana) and CRM tools (Salesforce), familiarity with digital platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual event marketing plan that aligns with business objectives and enhance interactions for Marathon Health customers, including in-person client events, the annual Marathon Health hosted client conference, and virtual events.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage all aspects of event planning, including (but not limited to) logistics, budget, invitations, design, content, vendor management, promotion and satisfaction/ROI. Manage the entire event lifecycle, from initial concept through post-event analysis, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Create compelling event messaging and content that resonates with target audiences and drives interest, attendance and follow-up action.
  • Manage event budgets and timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including agenda development, attendee registration, presentation preparation, materials, and evaluation metrics. Support venue selection, vendor negotiation, AV and production setup.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, internal partners, and external vendors as needed for event execution.
  • Partner with marketing, communications teams, and other internal stakeholders to review engagement strategies & develop promotional strategies, content, and audience engagement plans.
  • Evaluate the success of events through metrics and feedback to inform future initiatives. Set performance goals for events, track key metrics such as attendance and engagement, and provide detailed post-event reports.
  • Create and maintain an event playbook for continued standardization, adoption, and enhancement for company-wide events that are owned by other functions, such as Operations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and relevant topics to ensure events remain timely and impactful.
