About The Position

Gradient Labs is building an AI agent to redefine customer experience and operational efficiency in the financial services sector. Founded in 2023, the company has grown quickly and serves leading financial institutions. Their powerful AI agent is unique, built specifically for financial services to handle complex customer queries safely and effectively, acting as a unified agent across customer operations for comprehensive visibility and control. The team consists of builders from companies like Monzo, Wise, Mastercard, Revolut, and Google. As the first Event Marketing Manager, this role involves being the architect of Gradient Labs' physical and virtual presence in the AI world, designing high-impact experiences to showcase their AI's power to financial institutions. The manager will own the strategy, execution, and ROI of the event calendar, working at the intersection of brand and demand to ensure events contribute to the sales pipeline and reinforce leadership in AI-powered operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B event marketing, ideally within Fintech or high-growth SaaS environments.
  • A strategic mindset: You don’t just execute; you think about the "why" behind every event and how it fits into the broader 10-year transformation of AI-powered operations.
  • Proficiency in tools like Salesforce or Pardot to track lead acquisition, nurturing, and overall campaign performance.
  • Project Management Mastery: The ability to manage multiple moving parts—from vendor contracts and travel coordination to creative collateral and budget forecasting.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to brief designers, coach internal speakers, and negotiate with external partners or influencers.
  • Relentless Drive: You are a "builder" who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is comfortable troubleshooting on the fly during live events.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a high-impact event roadmap (conferences, roundtables, and bespoke dinners) that supports aggressive sales goals.
  • Own and deliver the full marketing strategy for major tentpole events, including regional data strategies and targeted audience building.
  • Track attendee acquisition and lead capture meticulously, ensuring event activities deliver SQLs and a clear ROI.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Design to align event messaging, coordinate speaker sessions, and ensure the AI agent is presented flawlessly.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to drive 360-degree campaigns—promoting events via email, social, and PR to maximize reach.
  • Manage the event budget, vendor relationships, and onsite logistics to ensure a premium experience for every attendee.
