About The Position

Emerald Expositions is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive attendee and exhibitor growth for our highly successful residential technology event CEDIA Expo/Commercial Integrator Expo (CIX). This is a high-profile role and will be responsible for working closely with the show management team and the association to build a high impact launch plan that drives excitement, engagement, and attendance. The Marketing Manager will drive the awareness of CEDIA Expo/CIX within the industry. An important part of this role will be building a year-long marketing plan that fosters a sense of community during the months between events. This position requires strong attention to detail and a creative mind as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a curiosity to learn and willingness to experiment with new marketing techniques. This position will report to our Alpharetta, GA office.

Requirements

  • Event marketing experience including ticketed marketing campaigns a plus.
  • Experience in email marketing and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience in marketing content creation – emails, web copy, brochures, ads etc.
  • Experienced in digital marketing, email marketing, lead generation, and PPC.
  • Experience working with agencies and partners
  • A strategic thinker and team player comfortable working in a matrix organization.
  • The creative ability to develop new opportunities and launch new initiatives.
  • Experience with SEO campaigns and strategies a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress a plus
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Willingness to take initiative.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing plans to achieve delivery of business goals.
  • Create and executes multifaceted B2B marketing campaigns to increase brand/product awareness and increase sales conversions and audience registrations.
  • Work with show team to develop themes, ideas and concepts that attract and excite our demographic audiences. Ensure all content is appropriate and relevant for the brand and strategy.
  • Collaborate on endemic social media campaigns and channels to increase awareness, drive registrations, and engage community.
  • Working closely with the sales team, manage the pre-show communication to all customer to ensure a high-quality pre-show customer experience.
  • Help script and optimize messaging to advertisers, attendees, and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with partners to disseminate content across paid, owned and earned channels, including the process of managing production, and approval for all campaign materials.
  • Manage attendee communications for onboarding, promotions, and operations to ensure customer success.
  • Deliver team tracking and reporting, manage post-event report creation, working with Marketing Operations on key data points. Working in platforms such as HubSpot and Power BI
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional departments and colleagues, including Sales, Content, Sales Marketing, Marketing Operations and Operations.
  • Manage process with Registration Team to enhance customer experience throughout the registration process and achieve data / marketing goals.
  • Additional marketing assignments as needed.
