About The Position

Bottomline is seeking an experienced and highly organized Event Manager to join their Global Events team. This role involves planning and executing a variety of events, including trade shows, customer events, internal meetings, and webinars. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of event management experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of managing multiple projects while delivering exceptional attendee experiences. This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders to bring events to life and support broader team operations. The role reports to the Director of Global Events and requires travel of up to 50-60%.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of event planning, event marketing, or event management experience.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, customer events, conferences, and virtual programs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple events at the same time.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a B2B technology, SaaS, fintech, or corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with event management platforms and registration tools.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Develop project plans with timelines, estimated spend and desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate with various third-party vendors (e.g., conference venues, promotional services, catering, booth agency) to ensure proper execution.
  • Support on-site event execution and problem-solving.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align events with business goals.
  • Serve as a primary contact for vendors, agencies, and external partners.
  • Communicate project updates and key milestones throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and support post-event reconciliation.
  • Negotiate vendor and venue contracts.
  • Effectively manage the procurement and contracting process.
  • Maintain event documentation and operational processes.
  • Deliver engaging experiences that reflect our brand and business objectives.
  • Manage registration, attendee communications, and guest services.
  • Measure event success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
