Event Manager

HyphaNew York, NY
$130,000 - $165,000Hybrid

About The Position

Hypha is an AI-native asset intelligence platform founded in 2025 and headquartered in New York. They operate in a relationship-driven industry and view events as a primary channel for market engagement. Hypha is an early-stage, deliberately small company where employees have significant ownership and decision-making occurs rapidly. The work is directly visible in the market. The Event Manager role is responsible for bringing the event strategy to life. This is a hands-on execution role with strategic input, where the individual will build, test, staff, run, and refine event programs. An event is viewed as a campaign with a live component, encompassing planning, outreach, on-site experience, follow-up, and sales handoff, with a focus on measuring outcomes and identifying improvements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years running B2B events, ideally at a SaaS or high-growth company. Agency and hospitality backgrounds are welcome if you have made the jump to the brand side
  • Hands-on tradeshow experience across booth builds, exhibitor kits, show services, and drayage.
  • A track record of managing several events at once without dropping the thread on any of them
  • Hands-on with event platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Swoogo, Bizzabo, Goldcast, or Sequel, and comfortable working in a CRM
  • Real budget ownership and vendor negotiation experience
  • Detail obsessed
  • Calm when something breaks at 4pm on load-in day

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial real estate, proptech, fintech, or another relationship-driven enterprise category
  • Experience running executive dinners and small-format hosted experiences, not just booth programs
  • You have built something weird that worked, and you can explain why it worked
