About The Position

Lead high-profile event programs from strategy through onsite execution for one of the world's largest online retailers. RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking an Event Manager to join for an approximate 7-month project! This role requires 5 days on-site in downtown Seattle. This role requires expertise in program management and the proven ability to apply that expertise to various event disciplines (e.g., content program management, expo planning, post-event analytics, etc.) As an Event Manager, you will operate with considerable autonomy both in program planning and onsite execution, leading critical workstreams during live events while maintaining high standards of excellence. The ideal candidate has a proven history of running events or related workstreams with operational excellence, can work through complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, represent owned programs to senior leadership with poise and sophistication, and anticipate and navigate roadblocks before they become issues.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • 7+ years of event management/production experience at large scale (3,000+ attendees).
  • Fluency with event/project management software (Bizzabo, Asana).
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.
  • Strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of major event workstreams (ex: content program management, expo program management, etc.).
  • Represent owned workstreams to senior leadership, providing status updates and identifying roadblocks.
  • Create and maintain detailed project timelines with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Drive to milestones with clear and concise communications.
  • Drive innovation in program execution and delivery methods.
  • Lead onsite execution of assigned workstreams during live events.
  • Conduct post-event data analysis and make recommendations for future program improvements.
