What You Will Do: The Event Manager plays a vital role in nurturing customer relationships and advocating for the customer’s interests during daily operations. In addition, the person in this role will establish trust with our customers by driving moments of truth with the customer for all engine shop events. In this role you will work in close partnership with the sales team to proactively identify and address engine event opportunities. The Event Manager should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills. You must be capable of adjusting and managing priorities, demonstrating effective time management, and being self-directed. Balancing operational goals with fulfilling customer commitments while maintaining profitability is also essential.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in business-to-business sales/customer service experience or experience in aftermarket industry; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree or Technical Training (A&P/AMT) and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • High School diploma and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Supply Chain or Business fields preferred.
  • Aftermarket Aviation experience ideally in spare parts or engine overhaul business
  • Experience with Supplier or B2B Account Management
  • Experience with SAP (or other ERP systems), and data analysis tools such as PowerBI
  • Microsoft Office and other productivity programs (i.e. Teams, Dynamics CRM, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relationships

Responsibilities

  • Manage planned engine events prior to receipt
  • Manage customer hold process
  • Manage profitability of customer events
  • Fluent in English (verbal/written)
  • Coordinate customer visits
  • Analyze and approve cost estimates, invoices, and warranty application along with driving closure to invoice disputes
  • Perform as a liaison between the shop and the customer
  • Ensure export control and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance
