Rock the Country Event Intern
About The Position
FanGate Solutions is seeking eager, highly motivated, and friendly individuals to work as festival event staff interns at the Rock the Country Music Festival in Hastings, MI, from August 7th-9th. This internship offers the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, ticket operations, event management, and guest services. Interns may be assigned to roles such as Box Office Ticket Sales, Golf Cart Shuttle Drivers, Parking Attendant, Guest Services, Tent Camping Check-In, or Gate Attendant. Responsibilities can include assisting with Will Call tickets, selling tickets and parking passes, ticketing resolution, scanning tickets, distributing festival credentials, providing shuttle transportation, and offering festival information. Upon completion of shifts, interns will have general admission access to the music festival.
Requirements
- Willing to travel to local and/or out of state venues
- Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays
- Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
- Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
- Must be neat and presentable at all times
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- College student majoring in hospitality, marketing, sport management, communications or related fields is a plus
- Ticket sales experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Aid guests with accurate festival information
- Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
- Accurately scan and validate all parking passes and festival tickets
- Distribute appropriate wristband and parking credentials
- Fulfill Will Call ticket orders accurately and efficiently
- Sell Walk Up Festival tickets and parking passes to attendees
- Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
- Be punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
- Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
- Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
- Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers
