About The Position

Visit.org is seeking a passionate, ambitious Freelance In-Person Event Host based in Indianapolis, Indiana, to facilitate interactive social impact experiences for a corporate partner at in-person events. The host will help deliver engaging, team-building events that support a cause and local communities, working alongside nonprofit partners or leading events independently. This contract role is paid per event, with compensation depending on experience, and may include preparation time and one to four prep meetings depending on event complexity. The role is open only to candidates already based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Requirements

Fluent in English.
Already based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Available to work on a contract, per-event basis, including preparation time.
Strong experience in event hosting, facilitation, and emceeing.
Comfortable interacting with large and small groups, as well as individuals, while keeping events flowing and participants engaged.
Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
Strong storytelling ability, high energy, and a positive attitude.
Able to problem-solve quickly during events.
Extremely comfortable with and enjoys public speaking.
Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
Conversational, charismatic, energetic, and fun.

Responsibilities

Host impactful, engaging, team-building social impact events that support a cause.
Welcome, engage, and inspire participants while supporting nonprofits in facilitating in-person events.
Present events in partnership with a nonprofit organization or lead events independently.
Use storytelling to help volunteers understand and feel the impact of their time.
Give clear instructions and guide volunteers through engaging, impactful activities.
Attend one to four preparation meetings before an event, depending on its complexity.
