About The Position

The principal responsibility of an Event Dishwasher is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area. This role involves washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, while ensuring the dish room and equipment remain clean and organized. The dishwasher must remain guest-focused while performing all assigned duties before, during, or after an event, and assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware. This includes washing and polishing dishes, flatware, and glassware, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The dishwasher is responsible for keeping the dish machine clean and reporting any functional or mechanical problems to Management immediately. Duties also include bagging and hauling trash to the dumpster, handling tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss, and maintaining adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. Adherence to safe food handling guidelines is mandatory. The role requires attending all scheduled employee meetings and providing suggestions for improvement, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctual.
  • Be willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assigned.
  • Be able to reach, bend, and safely lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
