About The Position

This is a seasonal, part-time, contractual position for an Event Day Supervisor at the Kitchener Auditorium. The role is from the last week of August 2026 until June 2027. The position requires mandatory work on Friday evenings, occasional Sunday and Tuesday evenings, and all other extra events. The supervisor will be responsible for leading store associates in customer service, product knowledge, and store operations. They will assist the retail manager with store duties, ensure policies are upheld, supervise associates, train new staff, manage schedules, operate a POS system, delegate duties, supervise productivity, assist with inventory counts and physical inventory, maintain inventory and fulfill orders, uphold cleanliness and health/safety measures, display and promote merchandise, and create a professional and engaging work environment.

Ability to work independently and in a face paced environment
Availability to work extended hours when needed
Able to sit, stand, reach, bend and move for job responsibilities
Open to potentially working in various weather elements, as needed
Strong verbal communication skills

Ability to work events that may include days, nights, weekends, and occasionally holidays

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 2 years of sales or retail experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the retail manager with all store duties including opening and closing the store
Ensuring that the store and company polices are upheld
Supervise the functioning of the hourly associates
Training new staff and managing the work schedules of the team
Operate a POS system and troubleshoot any issues
Effectively delegate duties to associates, and supervise productivity
Assist in merchandise cycle counts and store physical inventory
Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock and orders are fulfilled from warehouse
Maintain store's cleanliness and health and safety measures
Responsible for maintaining and displaying and promoting merchandise to help generate sales
Create a professional, and engaging work environment
