About The Position

The Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation seeks one student (graduate or undergraduate) to serve as the Event Coordinator. Candidates should have the ability to work 10 – 20 hours a week on a flexible schedule during the academic year. The position begins in August 2026 and continues through Spring 2027, with review of status each semester. This position is a key element in delivering the Turner School’s mission, mantra, and values. As Event Coordinator the student will focus their activities to help accomplish two main objectives: Successfully deliver flawless events and competitions, and promote general awareness of our events and competitions among students. The Turner School hosts three student competitions each year: Brave Pitch (Fall), Ideas for Good (Fall), and The Big Idea (Spring). One main event is held every Fall The Distinguished Entrepreneur Speaker Series. A successful entrepreneur, nationally recognized by the career achievements is selected and invited to receive the award at Bradley University and talk with the students. Other, smaller events may also occur each semester. To accomplish these goals and objectives, the Event Coordinator is expected to be proactive, eager to learn, and committed to achieving goals; demonstrate accountability, responsibility, and excellence in work; represent Turner School's mission and values; understand entrepreneurship and innovation; be inclusive, advocate for the mission, and connect with diverse people; and display qualities like respect, reliability, trustworthiness, availability, kindness, and generosity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in event preparation, execution, and clean up.
  • Keep track of registrations and table reservations.
  • Strive for attendance from all 5 Bradley Colleges.
  • Assist in event evaluations and follow-ups.
  • Assist and plan tabling events (in BECC and Michel Student Center).
  • Visit classes to promote the events.
  • Assist distribution of marketing materials - physically and digitally.
  • Communicate with student clubs. Being a CEO Club member is highly encouraged.
  • Assist the Media and Marketing Coordinator as needed.
  • Make sure all 5 schools at Bradley receive equal promotional efforts.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $ 13 - $16 / hour depending on experience.
