About The Position

The Williamsburg Winery is seeking energetic, professional, and customer-focused Event Bartenders to join our Events Team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during weddings, corporate events, festivals, concerts, wine events, and private functions while creating memorable guest experiences. Event Bartenders serve as ambassadors of The Williamsburg Winery brand and play a vital role in ensuring events are executed with excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain professional under pressure while providing excellent guest service.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, catering, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and basic cocktail preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and Virginia ABC regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and engaging demeanor.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Accurately process transactions, drink tickets, and cash handling procedures when applicable.
  • Answer guest questions regarding winery offerings, event details, wines, and beverage selections.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current menus, beverage offerings, and event-specific services.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of bars, beverage stations, and event spaces.
  • Stock and replenish beverages, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies throughout events.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing bar areas.
  • Work closely with event coordinators, servers, culinary staff, and management to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Adapt quickly to changing event needs and guest requests.
  • Assist with additional event-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Follow all Virginia ABC regulations and company alcohol service policies.
  • Monitor guest consumption and notify management of any concerns.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Properly handle and store beverages, supplies, and equipment.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
