Event Bartender - University of Georgia
About The Position
Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more. We are looking for additional Bartenders to join the Suites Hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be available for all UGA home football games and has some bartending experience. University of Georgia is a large campus in the heart of Northern Georgia where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 adoring fans all wearing red to support their 2021 National Champions. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years of bartending experience
- Must be TIPs/TEAM certified (will accept Team certification or will provide training).
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
- Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
- Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Renowned time management and organization skills.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Availability to work all home football games.
- Live within 25 miles of UGA campus preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/breakdown responsibilities.
- Sets bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
- Communicates well with bar back personnel during the event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
- Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
- Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
- Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
- Record closing inventory
- Responsible for putting away all inventory as directed.
- Follows all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
