Event Babysitter / Childcare Provider
About The Position
Jovie is an independently owned, community and purpose-driven organization, that provides caregivers with training, resources and support to develop their childcare skills and confidence on the job. Jovie families need your joy, your sense of fun and your childcare know-how. Jovie has helped thousands of parents find childcare with full or part-time nannies and sitters and emergency back up care. We are seeking reliable, energetic, and adaptable Event Babysitters to provide high-quality childcare during special events. In this role, you will care for groups of children at varying locations, including church services, weddings, corporate functions, and community events.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
- Subject to a mandatory background check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, secure, and fun environment for children of all ages.
- Supervise group play and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
- Manage event-specific transitions, such as meal times, quiet hours, or movie nights.
- Greet parents warmly during check-in and strictly follow secure check-out procedures.
- Monitor children for any behavioral or safety issues and resolve conflicts gently.
- Keep the event childcare space clean, organized, and tidy throughout the shift.
