About The Position

Christian Health is seeking a part-time Evening Wait Person to join their Dining and Nutrition Services department. This role involves providing table service to residents, ensuring duties are performed in compliance with established policies and procedures, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing courses during dining room service, stocking the server area, cleaning and sanitizing tables, and resetting tables for subsequent services. The position may also involve assisting in the dish area with scraping and loading dishes. The Evening Wait Person is expected to demonstrate an understanding of and embrace the mission statement of Christian Health.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide table service to residents.
Set up and clear courses during service in the dining room.
Stock Server Area with supplies as per par sheets.
Clean and sanitize tables in the Dining Room.
Reset tables for next service.
Assist in the Dish Area working, scraping and/or loading.
Deliver food ordered by customer in a timely manner to ensure appropriate food temperatures are maintained.
Take accurate food orders and communicate to kitchen staff.
Maintain the dining room in a sanitary and orderly manner.
Assist in cleanup after meal service is finished.
Scrape plates and sort racks of silverware in the dish room.
Provide oversight of dining room seating to assure that residents find available/appropriate table seating, offering a warm greeting and guidance and/or assistance with seating, as needed.
Ensure that kitchen and storage areas are clean, organized and stocked.
Complete cleaning assignments, such as filling condiments and cleaning containers, and putting away delivered supplies of food, dry paper or refrigerated supplies.
