About The Position

This is a part-time Evening Wait Person position at Christian Health's newest Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in The Vista. The role involves providing table service to community members in an independent adult resort-style living environment. Duties include setting up and clearing courses, stocking the server area, cleaning and sanitizing tables, and resetting tables for subsequent services. The position may also involve assisting in the dish area with scraping and loading dishes. The Evening Wait Person is expected to perform duties in compliance with established policies and procedures and to act in a professional manner, embracing the mission statement of Christian Health.

Requirements

Must be at least (16) years of age.
Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.

Responsibilities

Provide table service to community members.
Set up and clear courses during service in the dining room.
Stock Server Area with supplies as per par sheets.
Clean and sanitize tables in the Dining Room.
Reset tables for next service.
Assist in Dish Area working, scraping and/or loading.
Deliver food ordered by customer in a timely manner to ensure appropriate food temperatures are maintained.
Safely operate and clean all job-related food service equipment as assigned.
Take accurate food orders and communicate them to kitchen staff.
Maintain the dining room in a sanitary and orderly manner.
Assist in cleanup after meal service is finished.
Work in dish room - scrape plates, sort racks of silverware.
Provide oversight of dining room seating to assure residents find available/appropriate table seating, offering a warm greeting and guidance and/or assistance with seating, as needed.
Assure that kitchen and storage areas are clean, organized and stocked.
Act as liaison to main kitchen.
Attend staff meetings and/or review and sign minutes.
Complete cleaning assignments, such as filling condiments and cleaning containers, putting away delivered supplies, disinfecting basins and drains, cleaning shelves in kitchen and storage areas, and providing oversight for dating and discarding of all food and temperature documentation.
Effectively utilize the Vista Point of Sale (POS) system.
