About The Position

This role involves working an evening shift with primary hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Occasional hours may be available on Fridays and Saturdays. The days and hours can vary and may include evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and continuous staff development. The worker will operate with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment, and maintain a positive and professional attitude. Public safety and convenience are paramount. The role ensures employer expectations and quality standards are met, including maintaining cleanliness of breakrooms and vehicles, removing trash and debris from grounds and parking lots, and keeping walkways clear of debris, snow, and ice. The worker will use hand and power tools for maintenance, report necessary repairs, and be responsible for locking and securing offices and buildings. Driving NVS vehicles is also part of the duties, along with additional tasks as assigned, including filling in at other sites or departments.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Current California driver’s license, with an acceptable DMV printout and insurability.
  • Ability to pass a DOJ criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses.
  • Ability to call, text and/or e-mail.

Responsibilities

  • Follows safety procedures, policies, and guideline of NVS.
  • Multitasks and prioritizes to meet deadlines.
  • Participates in continuous staff development and training.
  • Works with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Ensures that employer expectations and quality standards are met.
  • Keeps breakrooms and vehicles clean, neat, and secure.
  • Removes all trash, paper, and other debris from grounds and parking lots.
  • Keeps all walkways and necessary pathways clean and free of debris, snow, and ice.
  • Uses hand and power tools and performs required maintenance.
  • Reports any necessary repairs.
  • Responsible to lock and secure offices and buildings.
  • Drives NVS vehicles as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned including filling in at other sites or departments as needed.
