About The Position

The Hotel Evening Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the evening shift, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient departmental performance, and compliance with company policies and standards. This position provides leadership and support to all departments, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, and Guest Services, serving as the primary manager on duty during evening hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing multiple departments in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, and property management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of all hotel departments during the evening shift.
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and primary point of contact for operational issues, guest concerns, and emergencies.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust resources as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through prompt resolution of guest concerns and service recovery situations.
  • Respond to escalated guest complaints and make appropriate decisions to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel and interact regularly with guests.
  • Ensure compliance with hospitality service standards and brand expectations.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to department supervisors and hourly staff.
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment.
  • Assist with employee training, performance management, and development initiatives.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards consistently.
  • Monitor daily revenue activity and operational performance.
  • Review and approve adjustments, discounts, refunds, and other guest account transactions within authorized limits.
  • Assist in controlling labor costs and operational expenses.
  • Complete required shift reports and communicate operational updates to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and health regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, and incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure security procedures are followed throughout the property.
