Requirements

  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • General computer/tablet, office, phone and communication skills required
  • One-year previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Previous housekeeping preferred
  • Basic knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures (i.e. blood, pests)
  • Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers
  • Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
  • Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Must use vacuum, mop and full bucket of water, and other cleaning-like equipment
  • Must lift 35 lbs./ push 75 lbs. occasionally (i.e. inspector carts, housekeeper carts, bundles of sheets)
  • Job requires standing, sitting, walking, handling, reaching, stooping and climbing stairs on a daily basis
  • Communicate clearly in English both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations and functions of the housekeeping staff
  • Train new hires in various roles
  • Ensure room standards are maintained by inspecting and coaching housekeeping staff daily, update staff performance records
  • Assist with Human Resources paperwork as needed
  • Ensure all guest comments are acted upon promptly
  • Assist with inventory
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Inspector, Housekeeper, Houseperson, Laundry and Lobby attendant duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
