About The Position

The Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) is seeking an Evening Housekeeper for its Main Campus in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and standards of all JCA facilities.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as cleaning standards, operating instructions, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and directions for cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees of the JCA, using proper grammar and pronunciation.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Occasional exposure to bodily fluids.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all facilities, including buildings and grounds.
• Adhere to cleaning standards and use cleaning chemicals according to instructions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Perform tasks requiring mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
