About The Position

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a part-time Evening Field Support Trash Collector Lead to support nightly trash and recycling valet routes at apartment communities across the Nampa-to-Meridian area. The role combines route monitoring and on-site support for Valet Porters with hands-on collection duties when coverage is needed. Shifts are Monday through Friday evenings, typically starting around 5:30 PM and lasting 3–5 hours; most shifts end by 11 PM. Weekly hours typically range from 15–20, and shift length may vary with property size, coverage needs, or seasonal factors. Pay is $22–$25 per hour depending on assignment and site requirements, with mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate. Full training is provided, and the company describes the role as a pathway to management and operations leadership. Work includes collecting bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ doors and transporting materials to onsite dumpsters, chutes, or compactors; inspecting recycling for contamination and ensuring proper separation; and checking in and out while documenting routes using a mobile app. The lead also issues courtesy compliance notices, uploads required photos, cleans up loose trash near dumpsters and compactor areas, assists with training new team members and quality audits, and may occasionally service pet waste stations. The work is outdoors in varying weather and involves extensive walking, stairs at some properties, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Some assignments require use of a personal open-bed pickup truck. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid Idaho driver’s license and current auto insurance, and have a smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled. Applicants must be able to communicate in English, meet the physical demands, work Monday through Friday evenings, and travel throughout Canyon and Ada counties from Nampa to Meridian.
