About The Position

NorthCountry Federal Credit Union is hiring for an Evening Cleaning Technician for an evening shift beginning at 4:30 p.m. We are open to either one full-time position (40 hours/week) or two part-time positions (25–29 hours/week each), depending on candidate fit and availability. Our preferred schedule is Monday through Friday. The hourly pay range is $22–$24 per hour, with some flexibility in schedule and compensation for the right candidate. Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance, for example, cleaning and changing light bulbs.
  • Regularly lift 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, use a ladder, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of credit union branches and perform light maintenance under direction of Facilities Manager, including but not limited to: Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust floors and surfaces; sanitize high-touch areas; empty trash and recycling; clean and disinfect bathrooms; perform periodic deep cleaning assignments; change light bulbs as needed
  • Ensure restrooms and kitchens are stocked with paper products and other needed supplies
  • Identify and report maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager
  • Notify Facilities Manager of needed cleaning products and supplies
  • Follow safety standards which comply with NorthCountry, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Develop an understanding and working knowledge of the credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures and appropriate software systems. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
