About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Evening Cashier to join our team at our Lakewood location. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our store and the last interaction customers have before leaving. You will be responsible for providing fast, accurate, and courteous checkout service while ensuring every customer has a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions confidently.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
Accept cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, EBT, and other approved payment methods.
Count back change accurately and balance your cash drawer.
Bag groceries carefully while protecting delicate and perishable items.
Answer customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate department when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
Follow all company cash-handling, security, and loss prevention procedures.
Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Assist with returns, exchanges, and price checks following company procedures.
Work closely with supervisors and fellow associates to keep checkout lines moving efficiently.
Perform other front-end duties as assigned.
