About The Position
This position involves completing restaurant opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools. It is a tipped position where the employee will take orders, input them into the POS system, handle payments, and upsell customer orders. Responsibilities also include communicating special customer needs to the kitchen, preparing food and beverages (including alcohol), preparing ingredients, and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards. The role also requires providing assistance in Food and Beverage areas, such as bussing tables, cleaning, resetting tables, delivering food, and general cleaning of prep areas. At the end of the shift, the employee will count their bank, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure the bank.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Responsibilities
- Complete restaurant opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools.
- Take orders from customers and input them into the Micros POS system.
- Obtain payment and provide change.
- Upsell customer food orders.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcohol.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.
- Count bank at the end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
