About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled EV Diesel & Auto Travel Technician to join our team in Fontana CA. This role primarily supports West Coast EV's (Diesel & Auto) and requires travel up to 10 days at a time, supporting Light-Duty to Heavy-Duty EVs. The technician will mainly cover the West Coast and is preferred to be based out of Fontana, CA, with the option to work from the Fontana shop when not traveling. This is a Travel Tech position that requires 5+ years of EV experience and flexibility for short-notice travel and schedule changes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing EV repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty EVs.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
Spend non-travel weeks working at client shops.
Work closely with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers.
Perform other duties as required.
Up to 100% travel time.
