About The Position

DAVE School is seeking a qualified 'Ethics and AI' Adjunct Instructor at DAVE School in Orlando. We are seeking an experienced instructor with expertise in both ethics and AI to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching and a strong technical background, with practical experience in statistical methods, predictive modeling, and experimental design (e.g., A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, time-series forecasting). The course will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, computer information systems, or a related field from an institutionally accredited college or university.
  • Two years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • One Year of College-Level Teaching Experience.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
  • Official academic transcripts of all degrees are required.
  • All degrees must be from institutions accredited by regional or national accrediting bodies approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Foreign transcripts may be acceptable in some cases and require a translation and evaluation of equivalency to U.S. degrees by a recognized agency.
  • Background check and educational verification.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Teach PHIL3000 - Ethics and AI - 3.0 Semester Credits
  • Examine the ethical challenges associated with the presence and role of artificial intelligence (AI) across social, legal, and technological contexts.
  • Determine ethical challenges in artificial intelligence through critical reasoning and informed ethical judgment.
  • Analyze diverse ethical frameworks and concepts for responsible approaches to artificial intelligence.
  • Manage classrooms effectively.
  • Communicate and mentor students.
  • Work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
