About The Position
The ESY ISC Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities during the extended school year. This role focuses on maintaining and developing functional life skills, social communication, self-care, and academic readiness to prevent regression over the summer break. The teacher delivers instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals in a structured, supportive environment.
Requirements
- Valid Oregon Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted, individualized instruction in academic and life skills aligned to IEPs.
- Implement behavior strategies, routines, and visual supports to enhance learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with educational assistants, families, and related service providers.
- Maintain data on student progress and participate in IEP-related communication as needed.
- Support students in personal care and physical needs, when necessary.
