ESY Program Instructional Assistants for Summer 2026
About The Position
The Pennsbury School District is seeking certified and support staff for Instructional Assistant positions within the Extended School Year (ESY) Program for the summer of 2026. Final staffing decisions will be contingent upon student enrollment numbers. In cases where interest exceeds the number of available positions, seniority will be the primary factor in determining who is offered a role. The ESY program will run from June 29, 2026, to July 30, 2026, operating Monday through Thursday. A training day is scheduled for June 29th, from 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM (4.25 hours). There will be 19 instructional days, each lasting 4.25 hours, except for the training day. Two group schedules are available: Group 1 runs from 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM, and Group 2 runs from 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM. All sessions will take place at William Penn Middle School. These schedule adjustments are designed to meet student needs while ensuring adequate staffing throughout the ESY day. Compensation for classified positions will be determined by the employee's current step placement on the salary scale, provided the role falls within their current job classification.
