This is a great opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys working on a variety of commercial projects and wants to play a key role in winning and shaping upcoming work. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Director of Preconstruction and Project Managers to develop accurate, competitive estimates across multiple delivery methods. You’ll have visibility into high-impact projects and the ability to influence outcomes from the earliest stages.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Strong experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel (formulas, templates, data organization)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings across multiple trades
  • Experience preparing detailed, accurate estimates independently
  • Ability to work in-office (hybrid flexibility available; fully remote not an option)
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare, public works, or multifamily projects
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual, negotiated, and competitive bid estimates across multiple project types
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define full project scope
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, and general conditions
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Maintain bid schedules and ensure proper coverage across all trades
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and occasionally visit job sites to evaluate conditions
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to support preconstruction and project planning efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ensure adherence to company bidding procedures and quality standards
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously (typically 2–3+ projects at a time)
