About The Position

The Estimating Department at Butler leverages industry-shaping products and innovative strategies to drive sustainable sales and financial results. We are committed to fostering strong customer relationships while pursuing equitable growth in pre-engineered buildings and services. Our team evaluates potential projects for profitability and risk management, ensuring that our business decisions reflect economic value, community impact, diversity, and a commitment to excellence. The Estimator supports the business, builders, architects, and end customers by providing upfront product knowledge, pricing details, and comprehensive estimating and technical support. This role ensures that regional builders receive timely, accurate, and optimal structural estimates and pre-order assistance. The Estimator also collaborates with the sales team to provide the necessary information for final pricing decisions.

Requirements

Provide accurate and optimal quotations and pre-order assistance for projects of low to moderate complexity (50 to 300 hours +/-) with limited oversight.
Support the salesforce with information needed for setting final prices.
Assist builders in understanding pricing software and its capabilities.
Actively participate in team initiatives, maintaining focus on regional objectives and profitability goals.
Increase or maintain department quote hit ratio.
Mentor entry-level estimators when needed.
