Requirements

Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
Keen attention to detail.
Capability to read and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Willingness to be part of a team and support team members.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to quickly identify and solve problems as they arise.
Stamina to climb ladders, maintain balance, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
3-7 years of estimating experience.
Thorough knowledge of GLC Safety Program.

Nice To Haves

Experience with software tools such as Procore, Excel, and Word is preferred.
A B.S. as sometimes you'll be headed out to a walk through.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with customers.

Engage in pre-bid meetings and contribute to bid strategy discussions.
Review proposal specifications and determine the scope of work.
Help grow our subcontractor base and pursue high-quality projects.
Incorporate historical data into estimates.
Prepare complete takeoffs.
Provide input on complex projects.
Perform quality control of bids.
Maintain subcontractor bid lists.
Document estimates thoroughly using estimating systems.
Foster a cohesive team effort towards achieving departmental goals.
Consistently enhance client satisfaction.
