About The Position
This position is in person and open to already local (Charleston, SC) candidates only. This position is for an individual not an estimating company. Estimator Job Profile We are seeking an estimator to join our growing team at Southern Lumber and Millwork! Responsibilities include providing accurate estimates for materials needed on specified projects. These estimates include materials needed for framing, exteriors, and interiors based on information from blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Be a part of some of Charleston's best new and remodeled custom homes! Estimator Duties and Responsibilities Explore documents in order to gain an understanding of the project requirements Select, measure and track various metrics Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts Read and comprehend blueprints Understand project management and construction processes New to the home building estimating process? No problem! Always willing to train an eager individual excited to learn and grow! Monday - Friday, day shift Weekends & holidays off Paid weekly! Overtime available weekly Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Requirements
- Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
- Planswift: 1 year (Preferred)
- Blueprint Reading
- Math skills
- Organized
- Self-motivated
- Detail Oriented
- Able to work effectively as a team as well as independently
- Able to meet deadlines and possess effective time management skills
