About The Position

The Estimator position is responsible for developing a bill of material as a buying tool for our sales team. As well as, keeping up with the project schedule and material requirements. The Estimator will review specification documents, understand the scope of supply, and execute material take-offs of construction documents. This role involves inputting take-offs, schedules, and other data into a computer database, and communicating with client engineering and construction personnel. The Estimator will also develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements. Additionally, the role requires an understanding of electrical material, their classifications, and their intended use. Photocopying documents and plans is also a part of the duties. This position operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related experience or training
  • 2 years minimum knowledge of Industrial Electrical Material required
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years minimum knowledge of Industrial Electrical background preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
