We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator who enjoys solving complex problems, building accurate bids, and helping win quality construction projects. Requirements
- Experience estimating commercial or industrial construction projects
- Strong ability to read blueprints and construction specifications
- Excellent math and analytical skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software
Nice To Haves
- Commercial or industrial construction estimating
- Mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, piping, or related construction experience is a plus
- Knowledge of construction contracts and project delivery methods
- Experience with digital takeoff and estimating software preferred
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate upcoming bid opportunities
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Develop complete and competitive project bids
- Analyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal trade experts
- Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits when required
- Prepare pricing for change orders during construction
- Support project turnover and preconstruction planning
- Participate in post-project reviews to continuously improve estimating accuracy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, construction managers, and owners
