About The Position

The Estimator is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting Outside Sales and Senior Inside Sales with technical product details. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; technical/industrial training beyond high school preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of related training, education, or relevant experience (or a combination of the three).
Strong math, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new programs and tools.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in work.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines independently.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate quotes and estimates.
Analyze construction processes, schedules, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Support Outside Sales Engineers by assisting with equipment product selections and value engineering options.
Enter customer and product information into company systems with a high degree of accuracy.
Provide pricing and product information to internal teams and customers.
Communicate daily with internal team members and vendors; limited external customer contact.
Use computer-based pricing and selection tools to prepare bids and proposals.
Perform administrative tasks related to project management, including order processing and documentation.
Maintain a professional customer service demeanor while balancing multiple deadlines.
