About The Position

Cinfab is looking for a Estimator in the Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio area. Summary: Perform my assigned duties in a manor allowing the CINFAB organization to be recognized as the preferred sheet metal contractor, fabricator, and service provider within our targeted markets and customer base while maintaining a positive, highperforming culture and building strong relationships with all stakeholders to safely achieve the lowest risk and most profitable results. Essential Functions including the following, but not limited to the below. Lead by Example: All bid documents have been reviewed completely and "big picture" has been investigated so that all challenges such as access to site and areas, schedule, specifications, general conditions have been incorporated into the estimate CINFAB spread sheet is updated with Field and Shop latest labor rates CINFAB spread sheet has been reviewed and confirmed to be calculating properly Gain any market intelligence that could influence our chances of winning the project Have estimating files set up properly and saved to the proper location Determine appropriate services required by specifications so that estimate includes everything required to fabricate ductwork at time of bid. Build Lifelong Partnerships: Whenever possible build relations with local Construction Managers and General Contractors so that you can have open discussions when appropriate. Continue to touch base with those who you already have a relationship with to not lose track of individuals. Develop relationships with other Mechanical Contractors for future opportunities. Act with Integrity: Our subcontractors, vendors, internal support personnel and other trade contractors feel that we have treated them fairly and professionally. Pursue additional vendors so that when needed we have a relationship in place. Be certain to pass any commitments that may have been needed to obtain special pricing during the estimating process so that Operations Team is aware. Put People First: Request frequent feedback from our customers or outside of the Grote Companies to confirm that our Scope of Work and Pricing is acceptable, easy to read and serves their purpose. Request frequent feedback from our internal customers, Operations Team that our estimate summary and turnover information is acceptable, easy to read and serves their purpose. Challenge the Ordinary: Thorough review and understanding of specification front end documents Detailed review of specifications, schedules on drawings and details and include details in the project turnover. Provide preliminary Duct Construction schedule to operations and coordination at turnover and list services used in the estimate. Thorough review of vendor quotes to ensure quotation is complete and able to be carried in bid Use previous like project(s) achieved productivity when completing estimate. Request Computerease reports from Operations as required. For Key projects, prior to completing the estimate, include in a formal review Estimating Manager, Cinfab President, Cinfab VP of operations, Grote President, and if possible, Field Superintendent and PM for the project.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar is preferred.
5 years construction estimating experience is preferred
