Requirements
- Experience preparing estimates, placing material orders, and handling invoicing in steel fabrication or construction
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and high‑voltage equipment
- Basic understanding of structural and electrical design principles
- Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software
- Excellent written communication and exceptional attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Diving into blueprints, specifications, and bid documents, translating complex designs into clear, accurate estimates.
- Preparing material takeoffs.
- Consulting with engineers and detailers.
- Coordinating with vendors on pricing and availability.
- Drafting detailed proposals.
- Following up with clients to secure awarded work.
- Building preliminary schedules.
- Organizing digital project files.
- Supporting material procurement.
- Collaborating with leadership to ensure each project has the manpower and resources it needs.
