The Estimator prepares take-off and call work for construction projects to assist in developing bids and in the buy-out process. This role involves analyzing blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates, as well as reading and interpreting contract documents related to specific divisions. The Estimator will solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor pricing, prepare accurate quantity surveys and take-offs, and review estimate/sub quote files for current bids. They will also review and compare KPI for bid preparation, prepare spreadsheets, and coordinate with estimating staff for bid day. The position requires preparing and submitting multimillion-dollar bids, cost estimates, and schedules, prioritizing issues, and preparing reports for senior management and clients. Additionally, the Estimator will log and file bid documentation, review awarded contracts to ensure alignment with bid documents, and prepare and schedule hand-off meetings with management to review budgets and bid plans for project execution.
