This company has a strong backlog of work across healthcare, education, commercial, and life sciences projects, including both new construction and renovation work. Requirements
- 2+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, or similar projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Assist with bid leveling and scope comparisons
- Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams
- Support value engineering efforts and cost-saving strategies
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and historical cost data
