Estimator
About The Position
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive proposals for doors, frames, and hardware based on project specifications and customer requirements. This role involves reviewing architectural drawings, performing material take-offs, and maintaining awareness of upcoming construction opportunities. The Estimator collaborates closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project execution. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for building customer relationships and supporting overall project success. Requirements
- Knowledge of product specifications, applications, and relevant building codes to ensure accurate estimation and compliance with project requirements.
- Skill in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and construction documents to develop precise material take-offs and proposals.
- Knowledge of Comsense or similar industry-specific software used for estimating and project management tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Skill in organization, time management, and problem-solving to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to apply a sales-oriented approach focused on building long-term partnerships and securing new business opportunities.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in the commercial door, frame, and hardware industry.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
