About The Position

The Estimator position serves as the primary contact from the quoting phase through job set-up to completion. This role involves coordinating project information to generate material orders, which are then processed into sales orders. The Estimator is responsible for maintaining consistent communication with buyers, salespeople, customer contacts, and various plant divisions. This is an in-office position.

Requirements

• Excellent Math Skills
• Ability to read basic blueprints and/or construction background.
• Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and applications.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• “Division 08 Openings” architectural terminology knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide material estimates requested by sales/customers.
• Meets deadlines and scheduled delivery dates.
• Provide material take-offs from job estimates.
• Works closely with our customer’s Project Managers, Builders and Bay’s District Sales Managers.
• Coordinate ordering of materials and follow up on deliveries as needed.
• Coordinates job flow including delegating and follow-up.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills to build rapport and maintain communication with Sales Representatives and customer contacts.
