About The Position
Rite Rug has been one of the top privately owned flooring companies for over 90 years! We are looking for a Builder Estimator to join our growing team! This role prepares accurate material quantities, takeoffs, and cost estimates for residential builder flooring projects. This role supports bidding, field verification, and coordination with project teams.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of estimating experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and solve problems.
Nice To Haves
- Flooring or interior finishes experience a plus.
- Experience with Measure Square, AutoCAD, Callidus, or similar takeoff tools preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review builder plans and specifications to produce accurate estimates.
- Conduct on‑site measurements to confirm quantities and scope.
- Generate detailed takeoffs for ordering flooring materials.
- Assist with bid proposals and pricing documentation.
- Work with project managers, sales, and installers to clarify project needs.
